Enon, AR - Carroll County
History of Enon
The historic town of Enon is located on the south bank of Yocum Creek at the intersection of Long Creek, very near the community of Raum. Enon opened its own post office on August 28, 1901 and a local man named William G. Hobbs served as postmaster. The Enon Post Office lived a long, useful life, serving the community of Enon until April 30, 1955, with only a temporary mail service interruption during 1921. Mail service was then moved to Green Forest after 1955.
